Faerie Dust Adventures … Back from the Philippines! February 9, 2012

Filed under: Faerie Dust & Whimsy — Faerie Magic @ 2:27 pm

Our friend Theresa went on an excursion to the Philippines and visited many of the islands.  She requested the prescence of the SDFDC (Sonoran Desert Faerie Dust Clan) to join her and her family on their trip.   Belle and Gabby flew over to me, “Oh can we go, can we, can we?”  they both blurted out at once.  We all giggled and decided that this would be a lovely trip for all of them to play together and meet some new faerie cousin friends.  Theresa has shared with me many times about the different faerie tribes that live in the Philippines.

    Dreams of snorkeling, swirled around,

as the Sonoran Desert Faerie Dust Clan gathered on the ground,

before they entered with Theresa and her family fair,

they all made sure their snorkel gear was working properly well.

Fins out of petals and snorkels from vines,

Belle and the family knew they would have a great time.

Back on dry land, ready for more fun,

they all went a runnin’ to the water in the sun,

Scout tripped Theresa where she fell in the surf,

then they all tickled her tummy and made her laugh until it hurt.

Faerie Cousins they met on the island that day,

where they climbed in the trees and

met many animal friends who stay

on the hillside overlooking this beautiful cove.

Twig tried cliff-diving just to give it a whirl

but he wasn’t quite as graceful as his Cousin Twirl.

Ugong Rock and this adventure bunch,

went to learn about all the tropical plants then had lunch.

Belle and Gabby and Button too rode in Theresa’s back-pack

because Gabby was ill with the flew.

Ugong Rock, a lime-stone formation, as ancient

as days of the myths of creation.

When tapped on lightly, the caves make a sound

of humming and whispering

followed all the way down.

Button played the rocks with a small stone

he found near and as far as Theresa could tell

it sounded like  “Jingle Bells” too.

Many more adventures were had on this trip,

and we all thank Theresa for allowing the SDFDC to take a dip

into the waters surrounding this place

in the beautiful Philippines.
