Creating Magic

May your day be sprinkled with pixie dust

Faerie Dust Travel Log 9: The Garden of 1000 Buddhas August 4, 2011

Filed under: Dalai Lama & Garden of 1000 Buddhas,Faerie Dust & Whimsy,Poems — Faerie Magic @ 1:53 pm

There were many awesome ways that I was able to volunteer at the Garden of 1000 Buddhas this summer with the SDFDC, Sonoran Desert Faerie Dust Clan, and the Muppet Crew …. we worked hard (and played hard too) …

Among the things to do and see

the Buddha kids waited happily,

we went and sat with them for many a day

to see what things they would have to say …

Then out to the Garden after tea

to sit with Mother who watched over me ….

We learned how to mold and to

patch in the Buddha barn

the Faeries they tried to do it

with Yarn

(but it didn’t work ….) ….

after the Buddhas are cast and firm

we get to do repairs with them

which is just one of the many tasks

we preformed …..

After the Buddhas are cast and poured

a sacred scroll and flowers are placed within

creating a spine of peace and love

to be shared with the world again ….

Then each evening around the garden we went

greeting the Sunset with the drum and the wind

the air pushed around us and let us breathe deep

and our prayers went into the ground below to

our Mother’s feet ….

These are just some of the things we did while at the Garden on our stay

But there are more adventures outdoors to come

join us without delay ….
