Creating Magic

May your day be sprinkled with pixie dust

A Fruitful Graduation June 7, 2011

On Saturday, June 4,  I had the honor of graduating from the Tacheria School of Spiritual Direction as a member of the SDI, Spiritual Directors International Organization.  The faeries of the Sonoran Desert Faerie Dust were quite giddy and filled with anxious anticipation.  We have all been on this journey together learning about faith styles and meeting awesome new folks from around the world for the past two years.  Gabby, who is normally quite talkative, was quite pensive.  I asked her, “Why so quiet?” … She sniffled, “Well, what about our family of classmates we have loved over the past two years?”  I responded, “Yes … I know … the challenge will be keeping them all in our hearts but also making the effort to remain in contact with them after graduation.  Remeber though that they all learned much about the rhythm of drumming from us.”  She nodded.  All the other faerie dust members had traveled ahead of us to the location of the graduation ceremony and managed to sprinkle bright blue pixie dust everywhere.

On this Tacherian Celebration Graduation Day,

Frank Williams and Shannon Sullivan

I drummed and sang and got to play.

Many family and friends

From far and wide

Arrived to be by my side.

We giggled and laughed

with joy and glee

to celebrate all the hard work

I had been doing (besides climbing trees)!

So thank you dear friends of the Faerie Dust Clan

for being part of this grand adventure

in this wondrous land!

(Thank you Oh Fabulous Readers for continuing to be here as well !)
