Creating Magic

May your day be sprinkled with pixie dust

A Joyful Springtime Earthday Space Blessing Ceremony April 23, 2011

Today I gathered with the SDFDC, Sonoran Desert Faerie Dust Clan, and our friends from the Institute of Shamanic Arts … we were grateful to do a space blessing of a beautiful tree and location at River Resource park that I have had the privelge of attending to over the last couple of years.

Mama Tara, who looks surprisingly like a desert tortoise, is the “keeper” of the desert park.  She watches over all the other trees, animals and holds space for all those who come around.

Miss Faerie Belle asked me if I would write up a blessing poem for Mama Tara and Mr. Gneiss (pronounced ‘Nice’), a 50 million year old piece of granite.

“The Blessing Poem”

This part I have walked,

This path on this ground,

Sacred and beautiful

Mama Tara Adorned (Photo by: Shannon Sullivan)

Footsteps planted all around.

Meet before us

Sacred Mother and her Clan,

Mama Tara keeps her

Heart here to spread Love all around.

Meet the Mr. Gneiss

The one who is strong

The one who can tell us

What we did wrong.

Meet beside us this Earth Tree

Whose arms, whose branches

Grow long, are spread out to greet us

As we stand beneath.

So let us give thanks

To these friends of ours

Thank you fellow travellers

On this Earth Day

That is this day in all days

That go round.

Dear Readers of Fabulous Fantastic Faerie Adventures and Earth Day Extravaganzas!  What on Earth are you elated about and love to share with others?
