A Family Tree

 Once upon a time

there lived a family

who sat upon a tree

to listen to the whispers

 of the creatures that

lived around them.

They listened to the snake,

they listened to the wind,

they listened to the earth and

to the hearbeat of the drum.

They were lead by a fearless

dog named, Kit, who too

belonged to this family tree.

Gathered together, held in these

branches, this family loved to sit

and together they bring the stories

of the animals, stones, earth ,

plants, faerie kin and ancestors

to spread joy into this world.

Hooray for the family tree!

Love it! What a bright, brilliant group of people.

When I saw the title, I expected to see your “wee friends” sitting in the tree. SURPRISE!

Looks like you all had a wonder-filled gathering.

  5. You don’t find a great tree like that everyday. Perfect for a “family tree” photo.

I know Nancy … I saw the tree and she was so happy to see us … she said sit with me! sit with me! … She had just the right amount of arms and the right height … it was great!
