Creating Magic

May your day be sprinkled with pixie dust

“Looks like we’re not in Kansas anymore?” Or are we … December 6, 2010

“Looks like we’re not in Kansas anymore?” (Or are we..)

Miss Nanette, Honorary Faerie Dust Queen

Upon the wind,

did faerie dust blow,

leapt up high,

lost footing below,

Belle, Button and Scout,

to places far out.

Miss Nanette & Jack the Dog

Miss Nanette, our friend indeed,

took the Faerie Clan

and all agreed

to travel in a group

quite happily

to Barnes, Kansas

for a family party.

A 50th Celebration

of parents and love

the faeries attended

and joined a new club,

the Firefighters Union

and were joined by

their new friend

Jack the Dog.

Brian, Sean & Mark

Although they didn’t

meet Dorothy or Toto

or the Witch,

they did get to ride

 on back of the

red engines hitch.

As the lights and sounds

hollered and wailed,

the Faerie Clan helped

whereever they could

and waited for instructions

for the Captain they hailed.

After the ride down the pole

Miss Nanette, friend of faerie

and caretaker of family extraordinare,

introduced the Faerie Dust clan

to her three nephews

and all of them devised a plan.

Brian, Sean and Mark showed

Belle, Button & Scout

just how to slide down a

fire house pole

which is no easy goal

or so I’m told.

Many bumps and bruises

the Faeries did have

but all of them laughing

and not one of them sad.

Thank you kind, Nanette,

Faerie Dust Queen,

for inviting the faeries

to you whose-its family thing.
